Transforming Textiles - Transform a photo into a cloth picture

A fun two day making workshop with Gianinna where you get to make a framed textile picture from a photo or drawing you bring with you. So by the end of the workshop you will have a framed picture ready to hang which you made.
All materials are provided. However, perhaps you have some material you want to incorporate into your picture? For example an old dress with a favourite pattern or one that has a special memory for you or a loved one? Any fabric can be used though it does need to be able to be worked with a needle! Leather for example, may be a bit too tough to work with so unless you are confident bring softer materials! What skills are required? Firstly, you don't need to be an expert at sewing and this is not about "perfect stitching"! So this workshop is suitable for beginners or those more confident with needle craft. Gianinna will be there to guide and assist you though the fabric-ation process of transforming your selected textiles into a picture. Secondly you don't have to be great at drawing, but some drawing experience is useful. (Can you trace? You'll be fine!) You'll be making a scaled drawing ready to turn into a textile picture from a photo or drawing you already have. So the drawing or photo you bring does not have to be of the same size as the finished textile piece. The finished piece will measure up to about 12" x 16" (41cm x 30cm) subject to your design.
